Ingredients of Nasi Goreng
You need 300 grams of cooked prawns.
Prepare 500 grams of cooked cold rice.
Prepare 1 of onion diced.
It's 2 cloves of garlic chopped.
You need 4 of anchovies mashed up.
You need 1 tbsp of fish sauce.
Prepare 2 tbsp of kecap manis.
It's 2-3 tablespoons of oil.
It's 1 tbsp of tomato puree.
You need 1-2 tbsp of soy sauce.
It's of Cucumber and or tomatoes garnish.
You need 2 of spring onions sliced.
Prepare 2 of large free range eggs.
You need 1 of red chilli diced (optional).
Nasi Goreng step by step
Heat up the oil in a wok or large frying pan. Add the onion and garlic and and gently fry..
Meanwhile prepare your veggies. And mash up the anchovies..
Once the onion mixture has softened add the tomato purée and anchovies and stir..
Pour in the rice, you may need to add a drizzle of oil to prevent it from sticking..
Break up the lumps and coat really well with the tomato, onion and anchovy mixture..
Add the soy sauce, kecap manis, fish sauce and stir well..
Add the diced chilli 🌶 (optional of course). Stir again..
Throw in the prawns and stir well. Turn down the heat low so it doesn’t burn..
In a small frying pan heat it add the oil and fry the egg!.
That’s it your ready to serve! Garnish with cucumber and tomato, extra chilli and spring onions. I added my favourite original sriracha sauce from Sriracha! Enjoy x.
